Do I need to shake the bottle before using it?

Yes. The formula settles into two layers, a watery one and a milky emulsion, so give it a few firm shakes until it looks evenly milky. Then pour two to three drops into your palms and press it in after cleansing.

Will the milky texture feel too heavy in Indian humidity?

It can. People with oily skin often find a milky toner excessive in hot, humid weather. Through summer, keep it to one thin layer at night and save the morning application for cooler, drier months.

Can I layer it with vitamin C or an exfoliating acid?

Yes. It is fragrance-free, alcohol-free and built on 77.78% rice extract with niacinamide, so it sits comfortably as an early hydrating step. If your skin is reactive, apply it before your active rather than mixing the two in one palm.
