Is it as harsh as a pure vitamin C serum?
It uses 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid rather than pure L-ascorbic acid, so it is generally gentler and far less likely to sting. It does carry a little citrus peel oil, so patch test if you are fragrance-sensitive.
Will it oxidise and turn orange?
The vitamin C form used here is more stable than pure ascorbic acid, so it holds up better over time. Even so, keep the bottle closed, out of sunlight and off a hot bathroom shelf.
Should I use it in the morning or at night?
Morning suits it well, since the sea buckthorn and vitamin C are antioxidants that work alongside your sunscreen. Niacinamide is already in the formula, so there is no need to layer a second one over it.
